I had the privilege of working on an impactful project for The Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, a non-profit organization committed to supporting survivors of sexual assault and abuse. This project involved creating a WordPress website using the Elementor page builder. Over the course of four months, I collaborated closely with the client to plan out the website’s content and style, ensuring it reflected the organization’s mission and values.

The project began with a series of meetings and discussions with the client to gain a deep understanding of their requirements and goals. Through these conversations, we determined the essential features and functionality the website should have, such as an intuitive navigation system, interactive elements, and a clear call-to-action for visitors to seek help or support.

The planning phase was particularly important, and we invested a significant amount of time in defining the structure and layout of the website. We worked together to develop a sitemap that organized the content logically, ensuring easy navigation for visitors. Additionally, we focused on creating a visually appealing design that conveyed empathy, compassion, and a safe environment for survivors.

Once the planning phase was complete, I began building the website using WordPress and the Elementor page builder. Elementor provided the flexibility and ease-of-use required to implement the desired design elements effectively. It allowed me to create visually striking sections, incorporate multimedia content, and customize the website’s appearance to match the client’s brand identity.

Old Website’s Style

During the development process, I frequently communicated with the client, providing regular updates and seeking their feedback. This iterative approach ensured that the website aligned with their vision and expectations. We made necessary adjustments and refinements along the way to create a seamless user experience and optimize the website’s performance.

The project was completed within the agreed-upon timeframe of four months, and the total cost for the client was an affordable $2,725. The majority of the time was dedicated to collaborating with the client on content planning and refining the website’s style. This allowed us to create a website that not only met the client’s requirements but also effectively conveyed the crucial services provided by The Rape and Abuse Crisis Center.

Overall, this project was a rewarding experience, as it provided an opportunity to contribute to a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault and abuse. By leveraging WordPress and Elementor, I was able to create a website that empowered the organization to connect with their target audience, raise awareness about their services, and provide crucial information and resources to those in need.
